Beaulieu Village Hall starts new Group

The Beaulieu Village Hall 50th Anniversary Golden Jubilee has been a golden opportunity to review what we do , embrace new intitiatives and ensure we have the tools to sustainably last another 50 years. We have set up the “Greener Beaulieu Group” to tackle composting, better recycling and waste management, cycling, wildlife habitat protection, tree planting, sustainable power storage and “grow your own”.
We will have a regular Tuesday afternoon drop in at the community space at Beaulieu Village Hall, a noticeboard in the hall with ideas and a series of speakers. We welcome contributors and advice on helping our community be more more environmentably friendly and sustainable.
We look forward to input from Young Farmers and New Forest Commoners about how we can shape our future to protect heritage but also all work together in harmony to protect our community’s future.
We’d like to complement the excellent work of the New Forest Biodiversity Forum and the many other green and wildlife groups at a grass root activist level. As much as possible lead by example, do stuff , rather than just talking about it.
We look forward to meeting with you to discuss your ideas or if you are an expert in your field coming to talk at an event at The Beaulieu Village Hall.
